Toyota Corolla Repair Manual: Replacement

Hint

:

• installation is in the reverse order of the removal. Only the installation is indicated but when it has a point.
• In the lh side, work in the aforementioned procedure every bit in the rh side.

1. Disconnect battery negative terminal

2. Remove forepart seat assembly rh

iii. Remove front seat inner belt assy rh

1.  remove the nut and front seat inner chugalug.

four. Remove forepart door scuff plate rh

v. Remove rear door scuff plate rh

6. Remove front door opening trim rh

7. Remove rear door opening trim rh

8. Remove center pillar garnish lower rh

9. Remove front seat outer chugalug assy rh

1. Remove the floor anchor cover.
2.  remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer chugalug assembly rh (flooring anchor side).
3.  using a screwdriver, remove the seat chugalug anchor cover.

   Hint

   : tape the screwdriver tip before utilise.

4.  remove the bolt and front seat outer belt (shoulder ballast side).

Detect

:

• removal operation of the seat chugalug with pretensioner must exist started in 90 seconds or more after the ignition switch is turned off and the battery negative concluding is disconnected.
• Carefully read the notices for the �pretensioner� in the srs airbag organisation and forepart seat outer belt assembly.

5. disconnect the connector and remove the bolt.

10. Remove center pillar garnish rh

11. Remove front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assy

1.  remove the 2 bolts and front shoulder chugalug anchor adjuster assembly.

12. Install front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assy

1.  install the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster associates with the bolt.

   Torque: 41.ii Nvm (420 kgfvcm, thirty ftvlbf)

13. Install forepart seat outer belt assy rh

Discover

: do not disassemble the retractor.

1.  cheque the degree of tilt when beginning to lock the elr.

1.  Bank check that the belt will non lock within fifteen degrees of tilt in all the direction only the belt will lock over 45 degrees of tilt when moving the installed retractor gently.

If the operation is non as specified, replace the front end seat outer belt assembly.

2.  install the retractor with the 2 bolts.

   Torque:
   4.9 Nvm (50 kgfvcm, 43 in.Vlbf) (upper part of retractor) 41.2 Nvm (420 kgfvcm, 30 ftvlbf) (lower office of retractor)

3.  install the shoulder anchor with the bolt.

   Torque: 41.two Nvm (420 kgfvcm, xxx ftvlbf)

4.  install the seat belt anchor cover.
5.  install the floor anchor with the commodities.

   Torque: 41.ii Nvm (420 kgfvcm, 30 ftvlbf)

6.  install the flooring ballast cover.
7.  check the elr lock.

Find

: check should be performed with the assembly installed.

1.  Check that the belt will lock when pulling out the chugalug quickly with the chugalug installed.

If the operation is not as specified, supersede the front seat outer chugalug associates.

14. Install front seat inner belt assy rh

1.  install the front seat inner chugalug associates rh with the nut.

   Torque: 41.ii Nvm (420 kgfvcm, 30 ftvlbf)
